Just wanted to drop a quick note and let people know I’m still here. I probably won’t write any new rebuttals in the coming weeks, as I’m working on two new curriculums for homeschool families. At this time I can say that one of them is Historical Geology, which examines the history of the earth. Currently it consists of about 55 lessons, making it suitable for a semester high school science credit. I will announce the other curriculum at a later date.

Unfortunately for young earth creationism, the existence of a wind-blown desert sandstone right in the middle of supposed Noah’s Flood rock layers is an unsurmountable problem. In this review, the evidence for a wind-blown desert sandstone is revealed, and it comes from an unusual source…the young earth creationists themselves! Click here to read this review.

Young earth creationists claim that the world’s coal reserves can be explained by great mats of vegetation that floated the worlds oceans, and then sank during Noah’s Flood. However, there are some major problems with their theory. Click here to read the rebuttal to this young earth claim.

Just a quick note to let folks know that all is well. I have not made any posts in the last few months due to my work schedule and family commitments. Hopefully life will calm down after the holidays. As many of you know, I work full time as a mailman, and this time of the year is quite busy for me.
The next project I am working on is an add-on to the online geology curriculum for homeschoolers. This one is titled Earth History. It will explore the geologic history of the earth over a 12-week course. Plans are also in the works for a Biblical Archaeology curriculum.
God Bless and Merry Christmas,
Greg

Many thanks to Ruben Baron for his hard work in creating this thorough review. His review shows how shallow the arguments in the book are, and reveals the depths that some young earth creationists will sink to in order to defend their unscientific beliefs.

A new study shows how pterosaurs landed, and the Institute for Creation Research tries to use this to show how evolution could not account for the development of the landing technique of these animals. The explanation fails to explain why there is a landing trackway in sediments deposited by Noah’s Flood. Click here to read the article.

An excellent new Theistic Evolution website has been launched by some prominent scientists. Dr. Francis Collins is a physician and geneticist best known for spearheading the Human Genome Project. He started the Biologos Foundation in order to address the culture war between science and religion. With the help of a team of scientists, the new website, www.biologos.org, seeks to explain how science and the Bible are compatible, and in particular, how evolution could have been used by God as a creative tool. A resource such as this has long been needed. Please take the time to check it out.

Judging from the source material that he used, he must have willfully decided to ignore the scientific data in an effort to argue for a young earth. Apparently, it is more important to argue for a young earth than it is to be truthful in reporting the facts. Click here to read the rebuttal.
