The claim that soft tissue could not be preserved with slow and gradual sedimentation has been an argument used often by young earth creationists. It resurfaced again yesterday in the daily news feature about fossil octopi, at the Institute for Creation Research. Click here to see the rebuttal.

One of the claims by Creation Science Evangelism is that a fossil mammoth site in Waco, Texas provides proof of a global flood. When you examine the issue, it is clear that it could not have been caused by a worldwide flood as they presume. To read the article, click here.

Does a fossil of a normally tropical turtle, found in the Arctic, damage the case for an old earth? YEC author Brian Thomas of the Institute for Creation Research thinks so. However, when you consider all the evidence, and not just half of it, there is no problem at all for old earth believers. Click here to read [...] [...more]

I’ve just posted a response to an ICR argument concerning Precambrian fossil footprints, which ICR uses to discredit evolution. When treated fairly and without emotion (which so many young earth arguments use), it does not discredit evolution at all…it merely makes it clearer. For progressive creationists, there is no issue either, as it only means [...] [...more]

When treated fairly and without emotion (which so many young earth arguments use), it does not discredit evolution at all…it merely makes it clearer. For progressive creationists, there is no issue either, as it only means an adjustment in the timeline of the creation of the organisms that made the prints.
